- I haven't seen this latest demo, but I have been in IPISA conference where
- the developers presented a version that was still under work by then
-
- It looked nice but lacked of some vital features for development of
- serious software like no global (source level) optimizer, no support to
- write shared libraries without having to write assembly code, no
- registerized parameters for functions, no Global Symbol tables
- (pre-preocessed headers are just not the same), and other features that
- I don't think are important as the ones I just mentioned.
-
- Apart from these this features that StormC lacks, it has features that I
- believe that are brialliant and very innovative.
-
- However, $400 USD is still far too high for an Amiga development
- environment that lacks those features that I consider vital and that I
- can already use with SAS C.
-
- Anyway, I believe that StormC developers are very competent and seem so
- commited with the Amiga, that I trust that not only that will invest
- their time in catching up with what SAS C already provides, as they will
- carry on the development of many other features that will make Amiga the
- programming environment worthy of being developed for.
